About Rising Stars

A home. A family. A place where every child is known by name.

Rising Stars is a licensed home daycare in Mill Creek, WA, run by a mother-and-daughter team. We built it around one question: what would I want for my own child?

Meet Your Teachers

A mother and daughter, in one home.

Two trusted adults, every day. No rotating staff, no classroom handoffs — the family program our families talk about.

Souad Anoua

Souad — known to families as Ms. Sue — opened Rising Stars to build the kind of home-based daycare she'd want for her own children. Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, she weaves all three languages into the rhythm of the day. Families know her for her patience, her Montessori-rooted approach, and the warm steady rhythm of her home.

I wanted to build the kind of place I'd be comfortable sending my own child to. That's the bar every day.

Growing up in this house, I've seen what it means when kids feel safe enough to be curious. That's what we give every child here.

Our Principles

Four ideas that shape every day.

01

Known by name

Every child is known — their favorite book, the way they fall asleep, the song that calms them down.

02

Follow the child

We observe each child and offer what they're ready for — not what a worksheet says they should be doing.

03

Honest communication

Daily updates, real photos, and the hard conversations too. You always know how your child's day went — the wins and the bumps.

04

A home, not an institution

Warm lighting, real furniture, a real kitchen. The environment shapes the child — and ours was made to feel like yours.

They really treat our son as one of their own kids.
